Wenna Privé is British-French, and having grown up overseas as an expat, she has always been a seasoned traveller.

Before founding Eratō, she spent a decade running a design studio, working across luxury hospitality, interiors, fashion and lifestyle for names including The Savoy London, JW Marriott Grosvenor House, Hermès, Fortnum & Mason and Valldemossa Sanctuary. Her work has been featured by Forbes, Good Morning America, Travel + Leisure and Rue Magazine.

After experiencing burnout, Wenna took a series of life-changing journeys across the Mediterranean. Slow travel became deeply healing, and in these places she felt more herself than she had in years. By putting down her phone, spending time with local people and learning from artisans, chefs, designers, makers and other creative visionaries, she discovered not only a more meaningful way to experience a place, but a wealth of knowledge about craft, community and the art of living well.

She began creating similar fully immersive journeys for friends, who returned repeatedly for her guidance on where to stay, eat and explore across destinations from the French Riviera and Italy to Croatia and Greece.

Over the years, through her travels, and work, she built trusted relationships across Europe, with boutique hotels, local chefs, family-run restaurants, artisans, makers, guides and boat captains. These connections allow Eratō guests to experience each destination through the people who know it best.

After a lifetime spent between countries she had not chosen for herself growing up, Wenna fell head over heels for England, choosing at last to put down roots, a short hop from the art capitals of Europe and the Mediterranean coastlines she loves. Now based in London, she has come to know it not as a passing traveller, but as a place she is proud to call home, and sharing its corners and traditions has become one of her greatest pleasures.
